2016 HONDA ACCORD A/C PROBLEMS
2016 HONDA ACCORD A/C PROBLEMS and WARRANTY EXTENSION
The 2016 Honda Accord has had a lot of a/c issues for this production year. There is a warranty extension on the condenser leaking due to manufacturer defect. The warranty number is 19-091. Although we have noticed a large amount of 2016 Honda Accord compressor failures as well. There has been no warranty extension as of yet with this problem. Many times we are having to replace the condenser at the same time we replace the compressor. This item is not warrantied due to it being replaced as part of the compressor replacement. Have the vehicle checked before you bring it to the dealer to verify. The cost to have the dealer replace the compressor is considerably higher.

Is my car the YF1234
There is a new automotive refrigerant that has been in vehicles since as early as 2013. We get a lot of people asking what type of refrigerant is in there vehicle. Unfortunately in a lot of cases the vehicle could have either the R134A or the YF1234. The best way to tell is to open the hood and look for something like the picture I have attached here. Some of the first vehicles to have the new refrigerant were : Dodge, Jeep, Ram, BMW, Mercedes, Toyota, Honda, Mazda, and many others. The new refrigerant is eventually going to be in every new vehicle. Currently the cost is almost 3 times that of the R134a. If you have questions feel free to call us and we will help you better understand this new refrigerant.
